Conducted on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), the computer-based test (CBT) will be held from 8 July to 15 July, 2026, across multiple shifts. Candidates who registered for the exam can now log in using their registration number and date of birth to download their hall ticket ahead of the test.

What the Admit Card Contains and Documents to Carry
The TG CPGET Admit Card 2026 includes key details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, shift timing, reporting time, and the allotted exam centre address. Test centres for this cycle were finalised in the last week of June, and the exam will be conducted across 12 centres in Telangana. Along with the printed hall ticket, candidates must carry a valid original photo ID — such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID, passport, or driving licence — since entry will not be permitted without both documents.
Exam Pattern and Important Instructions
The TG CPGET 2026 exam tests candidates through 100 objective-type MCQs worth 100 marks, to be completed in 90 minutes, with no negative marking. The test covers admission to PG and PG Diploma courses — including MA, M.Sc., M.Com, M.Ed, and M.P.Ed — across nine participating universities such as Osmania University, Kakatiya University, and JNTU Hyderabad. Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the reporting time, avoid carrying electronic devices, books, or bags inside the hall, and refrain from communicating with other candidates during the test.
What Comes After the Exam
Once the exams conclude on July 15, Kakatiya University is scheduled to release the provisional answer key on July 17, 2026, with an objection window to follow. Based on final scores, counselling for seat allotment is expected in late July or early August 2026, with PG classes likely to commence in the first week of August. Candidates should keep checking cpget.tgche.ac.in regularly and reach out to the TG CPGET helpdesk in case of any discrepancy noticed on their admit card.
