Punjab National Bank (PNB) has released the PNB LBO Recruitment 2026 notification, inviting online applications for 545 vacancies of Local Bank Officer (LBO) in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). The registration window opened on 20 July 2026 and will remain open till 9 August 2026 on the official website, pnb.bank.in.
The vacancies are spread across 17 states, and candidates can apply for only one state, provided they meet the eligibility criteria and are proficient in that state’s local language.

Eligibility and Vacancy Details
Candidates applying for these posts must be graduates in any discipline from a recognised university. They also need at least one year of post-qualification work experience in the Clerical or Officer cadre of a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank listed under the RBI Act, 1934.
The minimum age limit is 20 years and the maximum is 30 years, calculated as on 1 July 2026. Age relaxation applies to reserved categories: five years for SC/ST candidates, three years for OBC (non-creamy layer), and ten years for persons with benchmark disabilities, as per government norms.
Selected candidates will draw pay in the JMGS-I scale of Rs. 48,480–85,920, along with Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, medical benefits, and other admissible perquisites. On joining, selected officers must also execute an indemnity bond to serve the bank for a minimum of three years, failing which they are liable to pay a specified amount to the bank.
Application Fee
The application fee for this recruitment is category-based and must be paid online:
- General, OBC, and EWS candidates: Rs. 1,180 (inclusive of GST)
- SC, ST, and PwBD candidates: Rs. 59 (inclusive of GST, postage charges only)
Fees, once paid, are non-refundable and cannot be carried forward to any other examination or selection process.

Selection will be based on an online written test, screening, a language proficiency test (where applicable), and a personal interview.
