The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced that the OFSS Class 11 admission portal will reopen from 5 August to 11 August 2026, giving students who cleared the CBSE Class 10 second board examination a fresh chance to secure a seat in Intermediate courses across the state. The special window comes as a relief for candidates who could not apply during the earlier application rounds this year.
Why the OFSS Window Reopened
BSEB Chairman Dr S. Tyagarajan announced the decision at a press conference on 21 July 2026. The special window has been opened so that students who became eligible only after the CBSE second board results are not left out of the 2026-28 academic session. The reopened facility applies strictly to vacant seats in BSEB-affiliated schools and colleges, and the board has confirmed that no extension will be given beyond 11 August. Officials said the move is meant to help institutions fill all remaining Intermediate seats before the new academic session gets fully underway, and to give a wider pool of aspirants a fair shot at admission.

Who Can Apply
The reopened window targets three groups of candidates:
- Students who passed the CBSE Class 10 second board examination 2026
- Candidates from BSEB or other recognised state and national boards who missed earlier application rounds
- Applicants seeking admission strictly against vacant seats in affiliated institutions
Students can choose from Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture, or Vocational streams under BSEB-recognised Intermediate admission, subject to seat availability at their preferred institution. Aspirants are advised to check the vacancy status of their shortlisted schools before applying, since seats will be allotted on a first-come basis within the special drive.
