CBSE Class 12 admit card: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the hall ticket for the Class 12 Compartment Exam 2026, clearing the way for students to appear in the single-day supplementary examination scheduled for 28 July 2026. The board had earlier revised the exam date from 15 July to 28 July as part of the updated schedule.
Exam Date and Timing
The compartment exam will be held on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, in a single shift starting at 10:30 am. All subjects will be conducted on this one day, though the duration of each paper varies depending on the subject. Candidates will get 15 minutes of reading time before the exam begins to go through the question paper and plan their answers accordingly. Students are advised to reach their allotted centre in good time, since latecomers may not be permitted entry once the exam has started.
Who Is Appearing This Year
This year, 1,89,095 students have been placed in the Compartment category for Class 12, a sharp rise from 1,22,170 in the previous cycle. The increase follows the Class 12 Result 2026, which recorded an overall pass percentage of 85.20 percent. Students placed in the compartment category can reappear in the one subject they could not clear, while the syllabus, question paper pattern, and marking scheme remain the same as the main board exam.
How to Download the CBSE Class 12 Admit Card
The hall ticket is being issued separately for regular and private candidates appearing in the Compartment Exam 2026:
- Regular candidates: Schools must log in to the Pariksha Sangam portal using their affiliation credentials, download the admit cards, and get them signed and stamped by the school principal before distributing them to students.
- Private candidates: Candidates can download their hall tickets directly from the CBSE supplementary examination portal using their application number, previous year roll number, or candidate and parent names.
Candidates must ensure their admit card is duly signed and stamped by the principal or centre superintendent before the exam day. Entry to the examination centre will not be permitted without a valid, signed admit card.
Exam Day Instructions
CBSE has issued the following instructions for candidates appearing in the supplementary examination:
- Reach the examination centre well ahead of the reporting time.
- Carry the signed and stamped admit card along with a valid photo ID proof.
- Mobile phones and other communication devices are not allowed inside the examination centre.
- Maintain discipline throughout the examination.
Students are advised to verify all details printed on CBSE Class 12 admit card, including name, roll number, subject, and exam centre, and to immediately report any discrepancy to their school or the CBSE helpline. The CBSE Supply Result 2026 is expected to be declared after the completion of the supplementary examination.
