The BAMS AIQ cutoff for Maharashtra’s government Ayurveda colleges is not yet available for 2026, since the Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) has not opened registration for this year’s All India Quota round. Based on the schedule pattern from previous years, AACCC is expected to release the 2026 counselling notification and round-wise cutoffs on aaccc.gov.in sometime in August 2026.
Following the declaration of NEET UG 2026 results on 16 July. Until then, aspirants can use last year’s trends to get a realistic sense of where government colleges typically close.
How the AIQ Quota Works for BAMS in Maharashtra
Government and government-aided Ayurveda colleges in Maharashtra, like those in other states, surrender 15% of their seats to the All India Quota, which is filled through centralised counselling conducted by AACCC. The remaining 85% of seats are filled through the Maharashtra state quota, managed separately by the State Common Entrance Test Cell based on NEET UG scores and state domicile rules. Candidates with a valid NEET UG score can apply for both counselling processes simultaneously to maximise their admission chances.
Last Year Reference Trends for Government Colleges
While this year’s figures are pending, previous-year state quota closing ranks give a useful sense of where government BAMS colleges in Maharashtra typically settle. In the last year cycle, Round 1 closing All India Ranks (General category) included:
- Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Sion, Mumbai: around 81,820
- RSM Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Pune: around 81,700, moving to roughly 87,100 by Round 3
- Government Ayurvedic College, Baramati: around 96,570, closing near 102,400 by Round 3
- Vasantdada Patil Ayurvedic Medical College, Sangli: around 99,500, extending to roughly 114,500 by Round 3
- Government Ayurvedic College, Jalgaon: around 110,270, largely stable through later rounds
Government college BAMS seats in Maharashtra broadly settled in the 1.2–1.5 lakh rank range by the final regular round last year, though this shifts each cycle based on the total number of NEET UG applicants and seat availability.
How to Check the Official BAMS AIQ Cutoff When Released
Once AACCC opens registration and completes each round of AIQ counselling, candidates can check the official college-wise and category-wise cutoff by visiting aaccc.gov.in, navigating to the UG Counselling section, and opening the round-wise seat allotment result or opening/closing rank PDF for BAMS.
BAMS AIQ cutoff are published separately from Maharashtra’s own state quota cutoffs; candidates targeting AIQ seats should track AACCC’s notifications directly rather than relying solely on the state CET cell’s updates. It’s also worth registering for both the AIQ and state quota rounds where eligible, since running them in parallel improves the overall odds of securing a government college seat without missing either window.
