The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the NEET Counselling 2026 schedule for admission to MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing courses. The MCC counselling schedule covers round-wise dates for both the All India Quota (AIQ) and state quota processes, allowing candidates to plan their admission strategy well in advance.
As per the official schedule, MCC will conduct counselling for 15% AIQ seats, while the remaining 85% state quota seats will be filled by respective state authorities. A total of 1,36,939 MBBS seats are available across the country this year, of which roughly 18,000 to 20,000 seats fall under the MCC-administered AIQ process.

The Round 1 AIQ process will run from 04 August 2026 to 17 August 2026, covering seats in government, deemed, and central universities. Within this window, online registration opens on 05 August 2026 and closes on 12 August 2026, followed by choice filling and seat allotment. For the 85% state quota seats, Round 1 registration will be held from 13 August 2026 to 22 August 2026, with candidates required to complete reporting/joining by 28 August 2026.
