UPTET 2026 Result: Key Details
UPESSC Chairman Dr Prashant Kumar confirmed that the written exam was conducted across five shifts over three days, two shifts each on July 2 and 3, and a single shift on July 4, spread across 955 centres in 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Of the 19,94,661 candidates registered for UPTET 2026, results were prepared using the normalisation process specified in the official exam notification. The commission has released the result approximately seven weeks after the exam, along with category-wise cut-off marks and the merit list.

UPTET 2026 Qualifying Statistics
The UPTET Result 2026 shows a strong pass percentage at both levels this year:
- Primary Level (Paper 1): 7,13,648 candidates appeared, of whom 5,71,435 qualified, a pass percentage of 80.07%
- Upper Primary Level (Paper 2): 10,57,021 candidates appeared, of whom 7,59,513 qualified, a pass percentage of 71.85%
- Serving teachers, Primary Level: 93,387 out of 1,22,405 candidates qualified (76.29%)
- Serving teachers, Upper Primary Level: 1,13,384 out of 1,46,394 candidates qualified (77.45%)
In total, more than 13 lakh candidates have qualified across both papers.
What Comes Next for Qualified Candidates
Candidates who meet the prescribed qualifying marks, generally 60% for the General category and 55% for reserved categories, subject to applicable relaxations, will receive the UPTET Eligibility Certificate. This certificate is valid for a lifetime and allows successful candidates to apply for Primary and Upper Primary teacher recruitment drives in Uttar Pradesh, including the upcoming Super TET examination.
