January 30, 2024 | 03:30 AM : NEW DELHI The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi and Himachal Pradesh Council for Science, Technology and Environment (HIMCOSTE) will jointly organize the 4th Himachal Pradesh Science Congress at the IIT Mandi campus from April 8-10, 2024.
The theme for this edition is “Role of science, technology and innovation in achieving sustainable development goals”. The 3-day event will involve discussions by renowned scientists, paper presentations by researchers, and an exhibition of rural technologies.
IIT Mandi and HIMCOSTE have invited abstract submissions from scientists and students of universities, research institutes and colleges before the deadline of February 20. The subject areas include agriculture, biotechnology, disaster management, mathematics, engineering sciences, traditional knowledge and more.
The fundamental objective is to bring together intellectuals, scientists and researchers from diverse institutions to exchange innovative ideas and creations. This aims to build the framework for implementing developments in infrastructure, healthcare and socio-economic growth as per the event theme.
