AP ICET Counselling 2026: The wait is almost over for thousands of MBA and MCA aspirants across Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) is gearing up to formally launch the AP ICET Counselling 2026 process, with registration expected to go live in the first week of July 2026 at the official counselling portal icet-sche.aptonline.in. This is the moment every qualified ICET candidate has been preparing for — the bridge between their entrance exam rank and their dream management or computer application programme.

What Is AP ICET and Why Does the Counselling Matter?

The Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (AP ICET) is the gateway to MBA and MCA admissions across universities, constituent colleges, and affiliated institutions in Andhra Pradesh. AP ICET 2026 scores are valid exclusively for the 2026–27 academic year, and only candidates who appeared in the exam conducted on May 2, 2026, by APSCHE are eligible to participate in this counselling cycle.

The AP ICET 2026 result was declared on May 16, 2026, giving candidates their rank cards well in advance to prepare for the upcoming counselling rounds. Ranks are allocated purely on the basis of entrance exam scores, making the counselling process the sole pathway to converting a good rank into an actual seat.

Qualifying Criteria — Who Can Register?

Not every candidate who appeared in the AP ICET exam will automatically qualify for counselling. General category candidates must have secured a minimum of 25% marks — that is, 50 marks out of 200 — to be deemed eligible for the AP ICET Counselling 2026. Importantly, SC and ST category candidates have no minimum qualifying marks requirement and can register for counselling regardless of their score, as long as they appeared in the exam.

Candidates from first rank to last rank are all eligible to register for the AP ICET Counselling 2026 process, provided they meet the qualifying threshold applicable to their category. This open-access framework ensures maximum participation and seat utilisation across affiliated colleges.

Expected AP ICET Counselling 2026 Timeline

Based on APSCHE’s historical pattern and the timeline of the 2026 result, the Phase 1 counselling registration is expected to begin around July 10, 2026 and close by July 14, 2026 at icet-sche.aptonline.in.

The Phase 1 seat allotment result is expected in the last week of July 2026. Candidates who receive a seat allotment must report to their assigned college within the window prescribed by APSCHE to confirm and secure their admission. A second phase is typically held for candidates not satisfied with their Phase 1 allotment or for filling remaining vacant seats.

AP ICET Counselling 2026 Registration Fee

Money matters, and the counselling fee must be paid before a candidate can be considered eligible to proceed. The AP ICET 2026 counselling fee is Rs 1,200 for General/Open Category and Backward Classes (OBC) candidates, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates pay a reduced fee of Rs 600. The payment must be made online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking. Candidates who do not complete the fee payment will not be allowed to participate in the counselling process or access the web options facility.

How to Apply for AP ICET Counselling 2026 — Step-by-Step

Here is a clean, practical guide to completing your registration smoothly:

  1. Visit the official AP ICET counselling portal at icet-sche.aptonline.in
  2. Click the “Candidate Registration” tab and log in using your AP ICET Hall Ticket Number and Date of Birth
  3. Fill in the online application form with your personal and academic details accurately
  4. Upload all required documents in the specified file format — including mark sheets and caste certificates if applicable
  5. Pay the counselling registration fee online and save the payment reference ID for future use
  6. Print and retain a copy of the completed application form for records and future reference
  7. After fee payment, complete Certificate/Document Verification as notified by APSCHE
  8. Log back into the portal to exercise Web Options — selecting your preferred colleges, courses, and districts in order of priority

Documents to Keep Ready Before You Register

Being document-ready before the portal opens can save you critical time. The documents required for AP ICET Counselling 2026 include your AP ICET 2026 Rank Card and Hall Ticket, Class 10 SSC Certificate or equivalent, degree marks memos (all semesters), Transfer Certificate (TC), study certificates from Class 9 onwards through graduation, latest Income Certificate, Caste Certificate (if applicable), and Residence Certificate where mandated for non-local candidates.

Candidates must note that Mathematics is a mandatory subject at the 10+2 (Intermediate) level for those wishing to opt for the MCA programme through AP ICET admissions. Candidates who did not study Mathematics at the Class 12 level cannot exercise web options for MCA seats.

What Happens After Web Options?

Once a candidate exercises their web options, APSCHE’s algorithm processes all rank-wise preferences and generates the seat allotment result. Candidates can log in to the AP ICET counselling portal to check their seat allotment status after the allotment result is published. Only candidates with an active allotment are eligible to move forward with the final college reporting and document verification process.

Selected candidates who are allotted seats must report at the allotted AP ICET accepting college by the stipulated deadline to physically complete the admission formalities. Failing to report within the given window will automatically forfeit the allotted seat.
