New Delhi, 9 April 2024: The Andhra Pradesh State Board of Technical Education and Training is reminding candidates that the deadline for AP POLYCET 2024 registration is swiftly approaching, with the portal set to close tomorrow. Aspiring students aiming for diploma-level courses in polytechnic colleges across Andhra Pradesh should act quickly to secure their spot by visiting the official site, polycetap.nic.in.
Scheduled for April 2, the AP Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (AP POLYCET 2024) serves as the gateway to a variety of diploma programs. A registration fee of Rs 400 is mandated for most candidates, with a concessionary rate of Rs 100 for those from SC and ST categories. Admit cards will be made available a week before the examination, with results anticipated by May 13.
AP POLYCET 2024 Eligibility and Exam Details:
- Residency: Applicants must be residents of Andhra Pradesh.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should have completed Class 10 from a recognized board. Those currently appearing for the Class 10 exams are also eligible to apply.
- Board Restrictions: Applicants from NIOS, APOSS, or equivalent boards must have cleared all subjects, including mathematics, physics, and chemistry, achieving at least 35% in each.
Scholarship Schemes:
Two significant scholarships are available for students who secure admission into polytechnic colleges through AP POLYCET:
- Pragati Scholarship: Run by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), this scholarship is designed for meritorious female students pursuing technical education. Annually, 5,000 scholarships are awarded, providing recipients with Rs 50,000 each year of their program.
- Saksham Scholarship: Also administered by AICTE, this scheme supports specially-abled students in pursuing technical education, offering Rs 50,000 per annum to each selected student throughout their course.
These scholarships not only provide financial assistance but also encourage diversity and inclusivity in technical education.
