With the CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation process officially beginning following the June 6 cybersecurity clearance from the IIT-led audit team, thousands of students who applied before the June 7, 2026 midnight deadline can now expect their re-evaluation results within the standard processing period. CBSE has confirmed through official sources that the process will operate under a completely redesigned workflow compared to the original OSM system, with several key differences that address the concerns students and parents had raised over the past three weeks.
The examiner-facing platform at @postresult.cbseit.in/pvr was inaccessible to examiners from the student side even after the student-facing portal opened on June 2. This has now changed. CBSE has begun formally informing assigned examiners that they can log into the secured portal and start processing student re-evaluation requests.

How Re-Evaluation Works for Students
Under the revised process, students who applied for re-evaluation of specific questions will have only those exact questions reviewed by a fresh set of examiners. The examiner sees:
- The scanned image of the candidate’s handwritten response to that specific question
- The CBSE marking scheme and model answer for that question
- A digital interface on a CBSE-issued tablet to award marks strictly according to the original marking scheme
The examiner does not see the candidate’s name, school, or roll number — ensuring anonymous evaluation. Re-evaluation outcomes may result in marks going up or down. The re-evaluation result is final.
What Students Should Watch For
Students who applied are advised to:
- Keep checking their login at @cbse.gov.in regularly as re-evaluation results are uploaded in batches
- Note that individual results will be communicated through the candidate login portal, not by email or post
- Re-evaluation results are expected to begin appearing within 4 to 8 weeks of the process commencement date
- Students whose marks change after re-evaluation will receive an updated marksheet

Note on Coempt’s Role: Despite the controversy around the vendor, CBSE has confirmed that Coempt Eduteck Pvt Ltd will continue to handle the scanning of answer sheets for the re-evaluation process — which is the only function they had successfully performed at scale. The IIT official confirmed: “They scanned 40 crore pages, of which about 30,000 odd have problems. That means about 1 in 10,000 pages were problematic. Now they only need to scan problematic pages. So they should be able to scan without any problem.” All sensitive data and exam processing, however, now runs entirely on CBSE infrastructure.
