The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) officially launched its Post-Result Activities Portal on June 1, 2026, giving Class 12 students access to apply for verification of marks, scanned answer book copies, and re-evaluation of answer sheets. The portal was earlier scheduled to open on May 29 but was delayed by two days due to a cyberattack and technical security concerns.
CBSE stated in an official press release that the delay was necessary to “ensure a transparent and glitch-free process.” The portal had reportedly suffered a malicious attack that allowed around 50 students unauthorised access. Following a thorough security review and system upgrade, the board is now confident the platform is secure for student use.
What Students Can Apply For
- Scanned copy of evaluated answer book — first mandatory step before applying for anything else
- Verification of marks — checks totalling errors, unmarked questions, and marks not carried forward
- Re-evaluation of specific questions — marks may go up or down; the result is final

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had earlier chaired a review meeting at CBSE headquarters, directing officials to resolve all student grievances in a transparent and student-friendly manner. He assured parents and students that all genuine concerns would be addressed quickly.
Lakhs of Class 12 students had raised concerns about blurred answer sheets, missing step marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and payment failures during the post-result process. The June 1 portal launch is a relief for students waiting to challenge their marks.
