Banaras Hindu University has released the CUET BHU cutoff for Round 1 today, 1 August 2026, along with the CAP-UG merit list and first seat allotment, on the official counselling portal, bhucuet.samarth.edu.in. Candidates who registered for BHU’s Centralised Allotment Program (CAP-UG) can now log in to check their category-wise cutoff score and allotment status.
BHU admits UG candidates purely on CUET UG normalised scores, with no weightage given to Class 12 marks. The Round 1 results mark the first major checkpoint in a process that will run across four regular allotment rounds through September.

How to Check the CUET BHU Round 1 Result
- Visit the official portal, bhucuet.samarth.edu.in.
- Log in using your CUET UG application ID and password created during CAP-UG registration.
- Open the Seat Allotment or Round 1 Result section on your dashboard.
- Check your allotted programme and college, or download the cutoff PDF from the notices section for a category-wise comparison.
- Save the allotment letter for reference during document verification.
Since BHU’s merit list uses a normalised CUET BHU cutoff score rather than a percentile, candidates should match their combined subject score against the released cutoff for their specific programme and category, as figures vary widely across faculties.
What Happens After Allotment
Candidates who receive a seat in Round 1 have two options: accept and pay the admission fee to secure a provisional seat, or accept and upgrade, which keeps them eligible for a better allotment in subsequent rounds while still holding the current seat. The commitment fee is Rs 2,500 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, and Rs 500 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates. If a candidate is upgraded in a later round, the fee difference is adjusted automatically, with any excess refunded.
Physical reporting to the allotted college for document verification is expected only after the final regular round in September, so Round 1 allottees mainly need to complete the online fee payment step for now.
