The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG) 2026 from 6 March 2026. The postgraduate entrance exam will continue until 27 March 2026 in computer-based mode. Candidates can download admit cards and check updates at exams.nta.ac.in.

CUET PG 2026: NTA Official Notice

The NTA has issued a detailed notice outlining key instructions for candidates appearing in CUET PG 2026. The official notice states:

“The National Testing Agency is conducting the Common University Entrance Test CUET (PG) – 2026 between 06 March 2026 and 27 March 2026. We hope that you have downloaded the Admit Card and are now fully prepared to appear for the CUET PG 2026 examination on the date, shift, course and venue of the Test Centre as indicated on the Admit Card.”

CUET PG 2026: Documents Required at Exam Centre

Candidates must carry the following documents to the test centre:

Document Details
Admit Card Downloaded from official NTA website (clear colour printout on A4 paper preferred)
Passport-size Photographs Two copies (one for attendance sheet)
Original Photo ID Proof Government-issued valid ID

CUET PG 2026: Accepted Photo ID Proofs

The following government-issued photo IDs are accepted for verification:

  • PAN Card
  • Driving Licence
  • Voter ID
  • Passport
  • Aadhaar Card (with photograph)
  • e-Aadhaar
  • Ration Card
  • Aadhaar Enrolment Number with Photo

Important: Photocopies, scanned images of IDs on mobile phones, or attested copies will not be accepted for verification.

CUET PG 2026: Reporting Time and Entry Guidelines

The NTA has reminded candidates that several formalities will take place before the examination begins:

  • Biometric verification of all candidates
  • Frisking at entry points
  • Attendance marking before exam

Candidates must reach the exam centre at the reporting time mentioned on the admit card. The agency has strictly stated that candidates arriving after the gate closing time will not be allowed entry under any circumstances.

CUET PG 2026: Special Instructions

For Candidates Without Aadhaar Registration: Candidates who did not register through Aadhaar or opted for other identity authentication methods must report at least one hour before the gate closing time to complete additional verification procedures.

For PwD/PwBD Candidates: Persons with Disabilities are advised to visit the exam venue at least one day before the examination and report any centre-specific issues to NTA at the earliest.

Aadhaar Biometric Authentication: Candidates must ensure their Aadhaar biometric authentication is not locked on the day of examination to avoid issues during entry.

CUET PG 2026: Prohibited Items at Exam Centre

The following items are strictly prohibited inside the examination centre:

  • Mobile phones
  • Smartwatches
  • Calculators
  • Electronic gadgets
  • Personal belongings

Note: Exam officials will not be responsible for safekeeping personal belongings.

CUET PG 2026: Items Allowed for Diabetic Candidates

Diabetic candidates are permitted to carry:

  • Sugar tablets
  • Fruits (banana, apple, orange)
  • Transparent water bottle

Not Allowed: Packed foods like chocolates or sandwiches

CUET PG 2026: NTA Warning on Unfair Means

The NTA has issued a strict warning against unfair practices during the examination. The notice states:

“No candidate should adopt any unfair means or indulge in any unfair examination practices as the examination centres are under surveillance of live surveillance CCTV and equipped with jammers.”

Violations could lead to strict punitive action including debarment from future exams.

CUET PG 2026: Pre-Exam Checklist for Candidates

Candidates are advised to verify the following details on their admit card before exam day:

  • Exam date and shift timings
  • Venue of the test centre
  • Reporting time
  • Gate closing time
  • Subject and medium of examination

The NTA has advised candidates to visit their exam centre location at least one day in advance to avoid last-minute confusion.

CUET PG 2026: Exam Day Tips

  • Reach the exam centre at the reporting time mentioned on admit card
  • Carry all required documents in original
  • Familiarise yourself with the online test interface beforehand
  • Verify that the subject and medium displayed on screen match admit card details
  • Do not carry any prohibited items to the exam centre

Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website at exams.nta.ac.in for the latest updates on answer key release, result declaration, and counselling schedule.
