The Delhi High Court directed police to expedite protection for former DUSU president Ronak Khatri on November 6, 2025. Khatri received threat messages from a Ukraine-registered number demanding Rs 5 crore. The sender claimed to be an infamous gangster and threatened to kill him if the amount wasn't paid. Justice Ravinder Dudeja stated it's the State's duty to protect citizens' lives. The court ordered the DCP of Outer North and Special Cell to expedite Khatri's protection request. The beat constable must regularly visit Khatri for two weeks to ensure his safety.
