Dehradun/Chandigarh, February 27, 2024: The Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) and Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education (UBSE) are commencing their respective Class 10 and Class 12 board theory exams 2024 from today – February 27th, 2024. These exams will continue till March 26th and March 16th for HBSE and UBSE respectively.
Approximately 5.80 lakh regular and private students will appear in HBSE’s exams to be held in late afternoon shifts at various designated test centers. UBSE will conduct morning shift papers. All students must carry printed admit cards and school IDs compulsorily.
HBSE Exam Statistics:
Class 10: Over 3 lakh
Class 12: Over 2 lakh
Open School Students: 55,000+
As per UBSE’s scheme, language papers carry 100 marks while for other subjects, 80 marks are for theory and 20 marks for internal assessment. For all students, the minimum passing percentage criteria range from 33% to 35% across boards.
Key Exam Day Instructions:
- Reach the center 30 minutes before the start time
- Carry admit card and school ID without fail
- Verify all test details beforehand
- Follow COVID-appropriate behavior
The state boards have made extensive arrangements – setting up numerous exam centers, deploying invigilators, transport facilities, etc. to enable smooth conduct over the next few weeks. Students are advised to make the best use of this opportunity with meticulous preparation despite the perceived pressure.
