Today 31 May 2026  is the final day for IGNOU students to submit their assignments for the June Term End Examination (TEE) 2026. The IGNOU June TEE 2026 examination begins from 1 June 2026 and will run until 21 July 2026, covering lakhs of students enrolled in ODL (Open and Distance Learning) and Online programmes across the country.

The university officially extended the assignment submission deadline to 31 May 2026 through an official notification issued on 4 May 2026. The extension applies to all ODL, Online, GOAL, and EVBB students enrolled in the January 2026 session. Students who have not yet submitted their assignments must do so today without further delay, as late submissions will not be accepted and missing assignments will result in the candidate being unable to sit for the June TEE.

Why IGNOU Assignments Are Critical

At IGNOU, the final result is calculated as follows:

  • 70 percent of marks come from the Term End Examination (written exam)
  • 30 percent of marks come from assignments

A student who does not submit assignments loses eligibility to appear for the TEE and also loses the 30 percent marks that assignments contribute. This makes assignment submission one of the most important academic deadlines in IGNOU’s calendar.

How to Submit Assignments

Students can submit assignments in two ways:

  • Physical submission: Submit handwritten assignment booklets at the nearest IGNOU Regional Centre and collect the submission receipt. This is the recommended method as it provides proof of submission.
  • Online submission: Via email to the concerned study centre, as per the specific programme’s guidelines

Always collect a submission acknowledgement receipt when submitting physically. Do not rely solely on WhatsApp messages or verbal confirmations.

IGNOU June TEE 2026 Admit Card

The IGNOU June TEE 2026 admit card was released on 22 May 2026 on the official Samarth portal at ignou.samarth.edu.in. Students must log in using their 10-digit enrolment number to download the hall ticket. The admit card contains:

  • Candidate’s name and enrolment number
  • Examination centre code and address
  • Course codes and exam dates
  • Session timings and important instructions

Exam Pattern

The June TEE 2026 is conducted in two shifts daily:

  • Morning shift: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Evening shift: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Students must carry both the admit card and a valid government photo identity card to the exam centre. The June TEE date sheet (revised) is available for download at ignou.ac.in under the Student Support section.
