The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB) recently concluded summer placements for 602 students of its largest-ever PGP and PGP-BA batch. 484 students secured placements during the dedicated placement week of November 6-11, while 115 got placed later including 12 students with disabilities facilitated by a targeted drive by Atypical Advantage.
Consulting firms made the maximum 158 offers led by Accenture Strategy with 45. Finance, banking and investment companies also ramped up hiring with 130 offers. FMCG and retail firms made 69 offers in marketing roles. Manufacturing companies focused on supply chain and new products with 55 offers. E-commerce and payments companies hired for digital marketing and cards with 45 offers. IT companies offered roles in consulting and product management.
IIMB’s deep domain connect, three-tier mentorship program, customized 22-week structured internship preparation helped students achieve well-aligned summer placements despite a volatile global economy. The placements indicate optimistic hiring sentiments for the next placement season.
