Published: January 29, 2024 : The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-B) has announced a new free online course on emerging business models through its IIMBx digital learning platform. The 6-week programme hosted on SWAYAM is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students, working professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners.
The course covers new-age business models like platforms, aggregators, marketplaces, direct-to-consumer brands etc. It is designed by IIM-B adjunct faculty and entrepreneur K Ganesh.
Lectures are delivered by industry experts like Paytm’s Shekhar Sharma, Ananth Narayan of Mensa Brands, Arun Narayan of Tanishq and Matrix Partners’ Vikram Vaidyanathan.
The pedagogy involves video lectures, case studies, quizzes, self-assessments and discussion forums. This will help learners understand modern business models and how new-age firms operate successfully.
The course aims to provide valuable insights into emerging trends in the start-up and digital business ecosystems. Participants can gain key skills for entering entrepreneurship or navigating digital disruption in their industry.

Registration for the course is open until February 29, 2024. The programme will commence from January 29 on SWAYAM, the government’s online education platform.
