The JAC Chandigarh Round 1 Seat Allotment 2026 result has been released by the Joint Admission Committee, Chandigarh, giving allotted candidates a window till 13 July 2026 to pay the admission fee and submit their willingness for further rounds. Candidates who have been allotted a seat can check their result by logging into the official candidate portal using their JEE Main application number and password.
Seat Allotment Based on JEE Main Rank and Locked Choices
The Round 1 seat allotment has been prepared based on candidates’ JEE Main 2026 All India Rank, category, sub-category, and the choices locked during the round 1 option-entry phase. JAC Chandigarh conducts admissions to B.E., B.Arch, Integrated B.E. (Chemical), and MBA programmes at participating institutes, including UIET, CCET, and other Chandigarh-based colleges, purely on the basis of JEE Main scores — there is no separate entrance exam conducted for this counselling.

Steps to Check Result and Pay Admission Fee
Candidates who have secured a seat in this round must complete the following steps within the given deadline:
- Visit the official JAC Chandigarh counselling portal.
- Log in using the JEE Main application number and password.
- Click on the ‘Seat Allotment Result’ link to view the allotted institute and programme.
- Pay the admission fee of ₹40,000 through net banking, credit/debit card, or e-challan.
- Submit your willingness — choose Freeze if satisfied with the seat, or Float if you wish to be considered for higher preferences in the next round.
- Save and download the provisional admission letter for future reference.
What Happens If Fee Is Not Paid
Candidates are advised that failing to pay the fee within the stipulated deadline will lead to automatic cancellation of the allotted seat, making them ineligible for subsequent counselling rounds. Those who select the Float option will remain in contention for an upgrade in Round 2 but risk losing their current seat if a better allotment isn’t secured.
