KCET final seat allotment: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the KCET 2026 Round 1 final seat allotment result, along with the college-wise and category-wise cutoff list, at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. The result was declared on 15 July 2026 at 6:45 PM, and candidates who participated in Round 1 counselling can now check their allotted college, branch, and admission status by logging into the official portal.
KCET 2026 Round 1 Final Allotment: Key Details
The final seat allotment follows the provisional allotment, which was released on 13 July 2026, and the provisional cutoff list, published on 14 July 2026. Candidates were given a window to raise objections regarding the provisional allotment until 14 July, 5 PM, after which KEA finalised the Round 1 results. This year, around 3.3 lakh candidates appeared for KCET, higher than the 3.1 lakh who registered in 2025, making the counselling process more competitive across most engineering branches.

How to Check the KCET 2026 Round 1 Cutoff and Allotment Status
Candidates can follow these steps to check their seat allotment status and cutoff details:
- Visit the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
- Log in using your KCET application number (CET number) and password.
- Navigate to the seat allotment result section for Round 1.

Understanding the Cutoff and Competitive Branches
As per the released cutoff list, branches like Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and AI/ML remain the most sought-after and competitive across top institutes such as RVCE, MSRIT, and BMSCE, with General Merit closing ranks staying well under 5,000 at these colleges. Candidates should note that Round 1 closing ranks are typically tighter (more competitive) than final-round closing ranks, since seats vacated through upgrades and withdrawals reopen in subsequent rounds.
