The University of Mumbai released its third merit list for undergraduate admissions at 7:00 PM on June 4, 2026, at the official portal @muugadmission.samarth.edu.in and across the websites of all affiliated colleges. This is the third and another significant round of the 2026 to 27 UG admission process, giving another set of students a chance to secure their preferred courses at one of India’s largest and most diverse university systems.
The first merit list was released on May 26, and the second on May 30, 2026. Selected candidates from the second list had to complete document verification and fee payment between June 1 and June 3. Today’s third list opens the process again for those who missed the earlier rounds or were placed lower in the initial shortlists.

What Is in the Third Merit List
The third merit list published at @muugadmission.samarth.edu.in and at individual college portals contains:
- Candidate’s full name
- Application number
- Category under which admission is sought
- Name of the college and course allotted
- Cutoff percentage applicable for the round

Courses in High Demand This Year
Based on the first and second merit lists, competition has been especially intense for:
- BCom (Bachelor of Commerce)
- BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies)
- BAF (Bachelor of Accounting and Finance)
- BSc IT (Bachelor of Science in Information Technology)
- BAMMC (Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media and Communication)
BA courses at premier colleges including St. Xavier’s College Mumbai, Sophia College for Women, and Chetna College saw cutoffs above 90 percent in the first round.
What Selected Students Must Do Now
Students who find their names in the third merit list must:
- Visit the allotted college in person between June 5 and June 9, 2026
- Carry the following documents in original and two self-attested photocopies: Class 10 marksheet, Class 12 marksheet, leaving certificate, Aadhaar card, category certificate if applicable, domicile certificate, and passport-sized photographs
- Complete the online fee payment through the college admission portal within the allotted window
Students who do not complete verification and fee payment within June 5 to June 9 will forfeit their allotted seat and will not be eligible to reclaim it in a subsequent round unless they re-apply through the college for any remaining vacancy.

Students who have not been allotted a seat yet should:
- Keep monitoring the portal at @muugadmission.samarth.edu.in
- Ensure their online pre-admission form is submitted and preferences are saved
- Wait for the fourth merit list expected on June 11
