The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Admit Card on its portal. Candidates registered for the re-examination can now log in and download their hall tickets without delay. The re-examination is scheduled for June 21, 2026, and the NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Admit Card is a mandatory document that every appearing candidate must carry to the examination centre.

Why Is a Re-Examination Being Held?

The initial NEET UG 2026 examination was conducted on May 3, 2026, with nearly 22.75 lakh candidates registered across the country, of whom over 22.05 lakh appeared on exam day. Following concerns raised around the conduct of the original examination, authorities decided to organise a re-test to uphold the integrity and fairness of India’s premier undergraduate medical entrance exam. The Cabinet Secretary T.V. Somanathan personally reviewed the preparedness measures with senior officials, stressing coordinated action among administrative authorities, examination centres, and security agencies to ensure a smooth and transparent process.

Key Exam Day Details

The NEET UG 2026 Re-Examination will be held in offline pen-and-paper mode in a single shift:

  • Date: June 21, 2026
  • Exam Timing: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM
  • Entry Opens: 11:00 AM
  • Gate Closing Time: 1:30 PM (No candidate will be permitted entry after this time)
  • Distribution of Test Booklets: 1:45 PM

Candidates are strongly advised to arrive at their respective centres well before the gate closing time to avoid being turned away.

New Changes Introduced for the Re-Exam

The NTA has rolled out several student-friendly updates ahead of the re-examination, making this sitting slightly different from the original May 3 test:

1. Extended Exam Duration: The total examination window has been increased by 15 minutes — from 180 minutes to 195 minutes (2:00 PM to 5:15 PM) — giving candidates a little more time to attempt the paper.

2. More Rough Work Space: The NEET OMR sheet now includes four pages for rough work, compared to the earlier two, giving aspirants greater space to work out calculations and reasoning.

3. Revised Question Paper Booklet Layout: Two rough-work pages have been placed immediately after the instruction page, in addition to two at the end of the booklet, making the layout more convenient during the exam.

These changes reflect the NTA’s effort to rebuild student confidence and improve the overall test-taking experience following the controversy surrounding the original examination.

How to Download the NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Admit Card

Candidates can download the NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Admit Card by following these simple steps:

  1. Visit the official NTA NEET website: neet.nta.nic.in
  2. Click on the link titled “Admit Card for NEET (UG) – 2026 Re-Examination”
  3. You will be redirected to the login page
  4. Enter your Application Number, Password, and the Security Pin (Captcha)
  5. Click on Login
  6. Your admit card will appear on the screen
  7. Download the PDF and take multiple printouts for safekeeping

Important: Before downloading the admit card, the NTA has specifically requested candidates to verify their bank account details on the portal. This is required to facilitate refunds of the examination fee from the cancelled May 3 exam. Some candidates had earlier submitted incomplete or incorrect bank details, and a reconfirmation window has been opened to correct discrepancies.

Details Mentioned on the Admit Card

The NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Admit Card contains the following important information:

  • Candidate’s Name and Photograph
  • Roll Number and Application Number
  • Exam Centre Name and Address
  • Reporting Time and Gate Closing Time
  • Exam Day Instructions and Prohibited Items

Candidates must carefully cross-check all these details after downloading. Any discrepancy should be reported to NTA immediately.

Documents Required at the Exam Centre

Along with a printed copy of the NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Admit Card, candidates must carry a valid government-issued photo identity proof (such as Aadhaar Card, Passport, or Voter ID). Entry will be strictly denied to anyone without a valid admit card.

Helpdesk for Download Issues

Candidates facing difficulties in downloading the NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Admit Card may reach NTA through the following channels:

  • Phone: 011-40759000 / 011-69227700
