The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Admit Card on its portal. Candidates registered for the re-examination can now log in and download their hall tickets without delay. The re-examination is scheduled for June 21, 2026, and the NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Admit Card is a mandatory document that every appearing candidate must carry to the examination centre.
Why Is a Re-Examination Being Held?
The initial NEET UG 2026 examination was conducted on May 3, 2026, with nearly 22.75 lakh candidates registered across the country, of whom over 22.05 lakh appeared on exam day. Following concerns raised around the conduct of the original examination, authorities decided to organise a re-test to uphold the integrity and fairness of India’s premier undergraduate medical entrance exam. The Cabinet Secretary T.V. Somanathan personally reviewed the preparedness measures with senior officials, stressing coordinated action among administrative authorities, examination centres, and security agencies to ensure a smooth and transparent process.

New Changes Introduced for the Re-Exam
The NTA has rolled out several student-friendly updates ahead of the re-examination, making this sitting slightly different from the original May 3 test:
1. Extended Exam Duration: The total examination window has been increased by 15 minutes — from 180 minutes to 195 minutes (2:00 PM to 5:15 PM) — giving candidates a little more time to attempt the paper.
2. More Rough Work Space: The NEET OMR sheet now includes four pages for rough work, compared to the earlier two, giving aspirants greater space to work out calculations and reasoning.
3. Revised Question Paper Booklet Layout: Two rough-work pages have been placed immediately after the instruction page, in addition to two at the end of the booklet, making the layout more convenient during the exam.
These changes reflect the NTA’s effort to rebuild student confidence and improve the overall test-taking experience following the controversy surrounding the original examination.
