The National Testing Agency has officially confirmed that the NEET UG 2026 re-examination will be held on June 21, 2026. This follows the cancellation of the original NEET UG exam conducted on May 3, 2026, after a paper leak was reported. The Government of India approved the cancellation, and NTA has since been working to ensure a completely error-free re-test for over 20 lakh medical aspirants across the country.
The Supreme Court, while hearing the NEET paper leak case, strongly criticised NTA and pointed out that the agency had failed to learn from the 2024 paper leak scandal. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan responded by stating the government is committed to making the June 21 re-exam 100 percent secure and transparent.
