The NEET UG Re-Exam 2026 result is edging closer, with the National Testing Agency confirming that answer sheet evaluation is now underway. According to official sources, the process began this week, and the NEET UG Re-Exam 2026 result is expected to be announced soon, though NTA has not yet confirmed an exact date.

Over 10,000 Objections Under Review

The agency has received more than 10,000 objections to the provisional answer key, and each is being examined in detail by subject-matter experts before the final key is prepared. This objection window followed the re-examination held on June 21, when candidates sat for the high-stakes National Eligibility cum Entrance Test across the country and at 14 centres abroad. The re-test was ordered after an alleged paper leak, a matter currently under investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation, with several arrests already made in connection with the case.

A Record Scale of Candidates and Centres

More than 20 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET G 2026 re-examination, spread across 5,440 centres within India and conducted in 13 languages, including Hindi and English. The scale of the exercise has been described as one of the largest logistical undertakings by the testing body in recent years, involving coordination across several government departments to ensure a smooth conduct of the test nationwide.

Timeline: What Happens Before Results

With the objection window now closed, NTA’s standard procedure is to finalise the revised answer key based on accepted challenges, recompute scores wherever answers are corrected, and then declare the official outcome. Based on this typical sequence, many candidates and coaching experts anticipate the NEET UG Re-Exam 2026 result could be declared around the third week of July. However, this remains an informal estimate rather than a confirmed NTA timeline. Aspirants are advised to rely only on the official portal, neet.nta.nic.in, for confirmed updates rather than unofficial predictions circulating online.

For now, the focus remains on the thorough review of objections, a step officials say is essential to maintaining accuracy and fairness given the scrutiny already surrounding this year’s exam cycle.
