NEET UG Round 1 Result 2026: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has declared the Round 1 seat allotment result for NEET UG Counselling 2026 on 19 August 2026. Candidates who registered and locked their choices for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and 100% seats in Deemed Universities, Central Universities, AIIMS, and JIPMER can now check their seat allotment status by logging into the official portal.
Current Status of the Allotment
Round 1 registration and fee payment for NEET UG Counselling 2026 were conducted from 5 August 2026 to 12 August 2026, followed by choice filling and locking, which closed on 18 August 2026 at 11:59 PM. Based on candidates’ All India Rank, the choices submitted, and seat availability under reservation norms, MCC has now released the NEET UG Round 1 Result 2026. Candidates are advised to check their individual status directly on the portal rather than rely on unofficial rank predictors.
Steps to Check the NEET UG Round 1 Result 2026
Candidates can check their allotment status by following these steps:
- Visit the official MCC counselling website — mcc.nic.in
- Click on the “Result” or “Provisional Seat Allotment” link for Round 1
- Log in using the registration number and password created during counselling registration
- View the allotted college, course, and category on screen

Reporting and Fee Payment Timeline
Candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 1 must report to the respective institute for document verification and admission formalities between 20 August 2026 and 25 August 2026. Institutes will complete verification of the joined applicant’s data by 23 August 2026. Candidates are advised to keep their NEET UG scorecard, admit card, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, category certificate (if applicable), migration certificate, and passport-size photographs ready to avoid delays during reporting.
Fee payment schedules and reporting formalities vary slightly by institute, so candidates should carefully check the specific instructions issued alongside their allotment letter. Missing the reporting deadline may result in cancellation of the allotted seat, after which it will be offered to another candidate in the subsequent round.
What Happens After Round 1
Candidates not allotted a seat in Round 1, as well as those wishing to upgrade, will be eligible to participate in Round 2 of NEET UG Counselling 2026, for which registration is scheduled to begin on 25 August 2026. MCC will conduct further rounds, including a Mop-Up Round and the Online Stray Vacancy Round, through September and October 2026 to fill any remaining seats. Candidates are advised to stay engaged with each round rather than assume the process ends after Round 1.
