Key Details of the SBI Clerk Notification 2026
This recruitment fills backlog vacancies reserved for SC, ST, and OBC candidates across 21 states/UTs and is not open to General/Unreserved or EWS candidates. The category-wise breakup stands at SC: 207, ST: 1,219, and OBC: 112. This drive is separate from SBI’s regular Clerk recruitment, for which a fresh notification covering all categories is expected to be released separately.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age limit: 20 to 28 years as on 01 April 2026.
- Category: only SC, ST, or OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates are eligible; General and EWS candidates cannot apply.
- Educational qualification: a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
- Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the State/UT they are applying for.
- Applications are accepted for only one State/UT; intra-state transfers are allowed only between Delhi and Lucknow Circles, and between Mumbai Metro and Maharashtra Circles.
