Qualified candidates seeking lateral entry admission into the second year of engineering and pharmacy programmes across Telangana can now register on the official portal — tgecet.nic.in. The Round 1 provisional seat allotment is scheduled to be announced on or before June 24, 2026, giving candidates a tight but well-structured timeline to secure their preferred college and branch.
What Is TS ECET and Who Can Apply?
The Telangana Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS ECET / TG ECET) is conducted by TSCHE as a lateral entry route into engineering and pharmacy degree programmes in Telangana. Through TS ECET 2026 Counselling, qualified candidates can gain admission directly into the second year (lateral entry) of:

- Bachelor of Engineering (BE)
- Bachelor of Technology (BTech)
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharmacy)
Programmes in universities and private colleges across the state.

A minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying examination is required for General/OBC category candidates, while 40% marks is the threshold for reserved category (SC/ST) candidates. - SSC (Class 10) Marks Memo and Certificate
- Diploma / BSc Degree Marks Memos (all semesters)
- Transfer Certificate from the last institution attended
- Conduct Certificate
- Aadhaar Card or valid government-issued Photo ID

Certificate verification is mandatory and cannot be skipped. Candidates who fail to attend verification within the scheduled window (June 17–19) will lose their chance to participate in Round 1 of TS ECET 2026 Counselling.
Seat Allotment: How It Works
Seats under TS ECET 2026 Counselling are allotted automatically by software based on the candidate’s rank, category, choice of colleges and branches entered during web option filling, and seat availability in each institution. Candidates are strongly advised to enter as many preferences as possible across colleges and branches to maximise their chances of a favourable allotment.
Once the Round 1 provisional allotment is released on or before June 24, 2026, candidates must:
- Download the Provisional Seat Allotment Order from the portal
- Verify the allotted college, branch, and fee details
- Pay the prescribed tuition fee online and complete self-reporting between June 24 and 27
Failure to pay the tuition fee within the stipulated window will lead to automatic cancellation of the provisionally allotted seat, with no further claim permissible.
Why Act Now?
The registration window for Phase 1 of TS ECET 2026 Counselling closes on June 18, 2026 — just three days from today. Given the concurrent timelines for certificate verification and web option entry (which both begin June 17), candidates who delay registration risk missing the slot booking window and being forced to wait for the Final Phase, which is held in early July. Acting today ensures candidates can attend their preferred Help Line Centre and lock in the best available college and branch options.
All updates on TS ECET 2026 Counselling, seat allotment results, and final phase notifications will be published on the official portal.
