The UM-DAE CEBS Mumbai Admission Queue 2026 for the Integrated M.Sc. programme has been released, marking the next major step for candidates seeking admission through NEST 2026. NISER Bhubaneswar, which conducts the process jointly with UM-DAE CEBS, published the queue on 10 July 2026 based on the Expression of Interest (EOI) forms submitted by shortlisted candidates, and the Round 1 merit list and seat allotment is scheduled to be declared on 17 July 2026.
What the Admission Queue Means for Candidates
The admission queue is essentially a ranked list generated from the EOI forms candidates submitted after clearing NEST 2026. It gives aspirants an early indication of their standing before the formal Round 1 allotment is announced.

Candidates who cleared the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST), conducted jointly for NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS Mumbai, were required to submit their EOI form by 6 July 2026 (4 PM) to be considered in this queue. Those who missed this step will not be included in the current admission cycle.
Background: From NEST Result to Admission Queue
The NEST 2026 exam was conducted on 6 June 2026, with the result declared on 24 June 2026 by NISER Bhubaneswar on its official website. Following the result, counselling registration for UM-DAE CEBS began on 1 July 2026 and closed on 8 July 2026.
Only candidates who completed this registration and submitted their EOI within the deadline are eligible to appear in the current UM-DAE CEBS admission queue. The programme offers a 5-year Integrated M.Sc. in Basic Sciences across four streams — Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology — with admissions conducted stream-wise as per NEP-2020 guidelines.
What Happens Next in the Admission Process
Once the Round 1 merit list is declared on 17 July 2026, shortlisted candidates will need to report for document verification, which is expected to be conducted physically at the campus around 28 July 2026 to finalise admissions. Candidates should keep their original documents, NEST scorecard, Class 12 marksheet, and category certificates (if applicable) ready in advance.
Admission will be based on the candidate’s rank in the admission queue, stream preference, and seat availability, with any vacant seats in reserved categories moved to the general pool as per government reservation norms. Aspirants are advised to regularly check the official CEBS website for updates, as further rounds may follow depending on seat vacancies after Round 1.
