Lucknow, March 2, 2024: In a significant development, the Uttar Pradesh government has formally announced the cancellation of the state civil services exam for recruitment of review and assistant review officers. The move follows strong evidence validating leakage of question paper ahead of the test held on February 11th for nearly 438 vacancies notified.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reiterated on social media that culprits breaching examination sanctity will face stringent legal punishments setting exemplary precedent while informing aspirants that a complete re-test shall happen afresh in the next 6 months.
The previous week saw massive online outrage by candidates demanding fair re-examination replacing tainted selection procedure. Multiple student forums highlighted apparent discrepancies in test structures deviating from UPPSC’s legacy pattern hinting at potential foul play.
Under prima facie findings by the internal panel coupled with STF inputs, CM has now ordered a fresh attempt to accommodate all registered interested participants through transparent means. The revised calendar shall be duly updated on the Commission’s portal – uppsc.up.nic.in once formal approvals are obtained to enable advance travel planning.
Additionally, free transport facilities to exam centers have been sanctioned through UPSRTC buses responding to financial constraints quoted frequently. By taking a morally upright stance and decisive systemic correctives benefiting helpless students at this critical juncture, authorities have reinforced public trust by upholding a positive governance ethos.
