Teaching aspirants planning to work in Uttar Pradesh government and aided schools for Classes 1 to 8 can now prepare for the application process. A new One-Time Registration (OTR) system has been introduced this year, which must be completed before filling the application form. The last date to apply is April 26, 2026.

- No negative marking

- Paper I: Graduation + 2-year D.El.Ed/BTC from NCTE-recognised institution
- Paper II: Graduation (50% marks) + B.Ed or equivalent
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Application Fee: Rs 1,000 (Gen/OBC, single paper), Rs 500 (SC/ST)
How to Apply for UPTET 2026
Step 1: Visit upessc.up.gov.in or uptet.upessc.org.
Step 2: Complete the mandatory One-Time Registration (OTR) first.
Step 3: Log in using OTR credentials and fill the UPTET application form.
Step 4: Select Paper I, Paper II, or both. Upload photo and signature.
Step 5: Pay the fee online and submit. Download the confirmation page.
