New Delhi, 8 April 2024: The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has commenced the enrollment process for the state’s Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). Aspiring students can now apply for the over 32,772 seats available across more than 111 ITIs in Bihar.
Application Process and Deadlines
The application window for the Bihar ITI CAT 2024 is open from April 7 until May 5, 2024. Candidates can visit the official BCECEB website at https://bceceboard.bihar.gov.in/ to complete the online application process.
The key dates to remember are:
- Last date for fee payment: May 6, 2024
- Application correction window: May 8 to 11, 2024
- Admit card release: May 28, 2024
- Exam date: June 9, 2024
Eligibility and Seat Distribution
The ITI admissions in Bihar follow a comprehensive seat allocation process:
- 25% of the total seats are reserved for candidates from all districts across the state.
- The remaining seats are distributed among different categories: General (8,193), SC (8,193), ST (5,649), EBC (8,193), BC (5,906), EWS (3,272), Son/Daughter of Ex-Serviceman (1,491), and Disabled Quota (1,632).
Bihar ITI CAT 2024 Application Fees
The application fees for the Bihar ITI CAT 2024 are as follows:
- General candidates: Rs. 750
- SC and ST candidates: Rs. 100
- Disabled candidates: Rs. 430
Age Limit
The minimum age requirement for the ITI courses is 14 years as of August 1, 2024, except for the Mechanic Motor Vehicle and Mechanic Tractor programs, which require a minimum age of 17 years.
