New Delhi, 9 April 2024: The Army Institute of Law (AIL) has announced the commencement of the registration process for the AIL Law Entrance Test (LET) 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can now apply for this entrance examination, which serves as the gateway to securing admission to the institute’s prestigious BA LLB (Five-Year Program) and LLM (One-Year Program) courses.
Key Details about AIL LET 2024
Application Process:
- The AIL LET 2024 registration is open from April 9 to May 8, 2024.
- Candidates can apply online for the exam until May 13, 2024, by paying a late fee of ₹4,000.
- The application correction window will be available from May 16, 2024.
- The application fee for the AIL LET 2024 is ₹3,000 for both general and army category candidates.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must have completed their 12th-grade exams from the Punjab School Education Board or any other institution considered equal by Punjabi University, Patiala, with a minimum of 45% marks.
- Those who have completed their 12th grade through open university programs without the necessary qualifications are not eligible to apply.
Courses Offered:
- BA LLB (Five-Year Program): This integrated program aims to equip students with comprehensive legal knowledge to become capable members of the legal profession.
- LLM (One-Year Program): The LLM course focuses on specialized areas of law and prepares students for roles in teaching and various sectors nationally and internationally.
Seat Distribution:
- 71 seats are reserved for children of Indian Army personnel.
- 1 seat is reserved for a child of Indian Navy personnel.
- 3 seats are reserved for children of Indian Air Force personnel.
- 5 seats are allocated for the All India General Category.
- Selection for these seats will be based on the performance in the AIL LET 2024 exam.
