The Maharashtra State Board has opened the Centralised Admission Process for First Year Junior College admission for the 2026-27 academic session. CAP Round 1 registration is now active, and students who have passed their Class 10 board exams from Maharashtra can apply online through the official portal.
This process is applicable for students seeking admission in Arts, Commerce, and Science streams in junior colleges across Maharashtra. Students must create their profile on the official FYJC admission portal and select preferred colleges and streams during the registration period. Seat allotment will be done based on Class 10 marks and preferences submitted by students.
Students from the CBSE, ICSE, and other boards studying in Maharashtra are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the equivalence criteria. The admission process is expected to cover lakhs of students across the state, with preference-based allotment ensuring transparency.
