The Common University Entrance Test for undergraduate admissions, CUET UG 2026, is set to conclude its main examination cycle on May 31, 2026. The National Testing Agency has been conducting the computer-based test since May 11, covering more than 1.56 million registered candidates across 321 exam centres in India and at select international locations. The exam is being held in 13 languages across 23 domain subjects and a general test paper.
NTA had to reschedule exams originally planned for May 28 after the central government shifted the Bakrid public holiday to that date. The rescheduled sessions will now be held on May 31, June 6, and June 7, 2026. Fresh admit cards for the May 31 exam were released on May 27. Candidates appearing on June 6 and 7 can expect their hall tickets shortly.
Once all exam sessions are completed, NTA will release the provisional CUET UG answer key in the second week of June 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates will have the option to challenge the provisional answer key by paying Rs 200 per question. The CUET UG 2026 result is expected in the first week of July 2026, following which university-wise counselling and admission rounds will begin. More than 280 universities, including all central universities, accept CUET scores for undergraduate admissions.
Students who have already appeared for their subjects should now focus on reviewing answer keys once released and shortlisting colleges based on their expected scores. The CUET scorecard is valid only for the 2026-27 admission cycle.
