The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), Kerala officially declared the Plus Two (Class 12) board exam result 2026 on May 26, 2026. General Education Minister N. Shamsudheen announced the results in Thiruvananthapuram. This year, 3,72,423 students appeared for the exam held in March 2026, and 2,90,381 students cleared it successfully.
The overall pass percentage for Kerala Plus Two 2026 is 77.97 percent, a marginal improvement of 0.16 percent over the previous year’s 77.81 percent. Girls have once again significantly outperformed boys in the state board examinations.
Stream-Wise Pass Percentage 2026
- Science stream: 84.52 percent (highest among all streams)
- Commerce stream: 74.74 percent
- Humanities stream: 66.38 percent
- Technical stream: 72.82 percent
- Art stream: 82.54 percent
- Open school stream: 50.92 percent
- Vocational Higher Secondary (VHSE): 72.49 percent
Girls vs Boys Performance
- Girls pass percentage: 84.89 percent
- Boys pass percentage: 68.41 percent
The gap between girls and boys continues to be a notable feature of Kerala board results. Among the 30,561 students who secured A+ in all subjects, 23,095 were girls and only 7,466 were boys.
Other Highlights
- 60 students scored perfect marks of 1,200 out of 1,200 — up from 41 last year
- Students scoring A+ in all subjects: 30,561 (up from 30,145 the previous year)
- Idukki district recorded the highest pass rate at 84.64 percent
- Kasaragod district had the lowest pass rate at 71.72 percent
- Malappuram had the highest number of A+ holders at 4,621
