- Master’s degree with minimum 55 percent marks (50 percent for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates)
- Final-year PG students can apply provisionally
- JRF age limit: Maximum 30 years (with relaxation of up to 5 years for reserved categories and women)
- No upper age limit for the Assistant Professor qualification route
