The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, will conduct the TN SSLC Supplementary Exam 2026 from July 8 to July 15, 2026, giving Class 10 students another chance to clear subjects they could not pass in the main board exam. The hall ticket has already been released and is available for download, with students required to log in using their application/registration number and date of birth. This supplementary round follows the declaration of the Tamil Nadu SSLC Result 2026 on May 20, where the government school pass percentage stood at 91.86%, leaving a section of students eligible to reappear.
Who Should Appear for This Exam
The TN SSLC Supplementary Exam 2026 is meant for:

- Students who failed in one or more subjects in the March–April 2026 SSLC public examination
- Candidates who were absent during the main exam
- Private candidates who registered separately for the supplementary attempt
- Students seeking to improve their marks in specific subjects, as per board guidelines
Regular school students had to apply through their institutions before July 1, 2026, by 2:30 pm, while private candidates completed registration earlier, between May 26 and June 9, 2026, through designated service centres.
Steps to Download the Hall Ticket
- Visit the official website, dge.tn.gov.in
- Click on the Hall Ticket or Supplementary Exam section
- Enter your registration number and date of birth
- Submit the details to view your admit card
- Download and print at least two copies — one for the exam centre and one as backup
Note: For regular school candidates, hall tickets are often distributed through the respective school login, so students should also check with their school authorities if the direct portal link doesn’t work.
Exam Fee, Timing and Centres
Candidates appearing for the TN SSLC Supplementary Exam 2026 were required to pay an examination fee of Rs 125 per subject, along with a Rs 70 online application charge. The exams will be held in offline mode at designated centres across Tamil Nadu, in the morning shift from 10:00 am to 1:15 pm. Students must carry their admit card along with a valid ID (such as Aadhaar) and a passport-size photograph to the exam hall — entry will not be permitted without the hall ticket.
What Happens After the Exam
Once the TN SSLC Supplementary Exam 2026 concludes on July 15, evaluation will begin, and results are expected to be declared in July or August 2026. Students will be able to check their supplementary scores through the official DGE Tamil Nadu website using their registration details. Passing the supplementary exam allows students to move ahead without losing an academic year, making timely hall ticket download and exam-day preparation essential.
