In a major development for management education and startup ecosystem growth, XLRI Delhi-NCR inducted a new batch of students into its XLRI Delhi-NCR PGDM IEV program on 25 July 2026, initiating the incoming cohort through an intensive three-day orientation on campus. As of 27 July 2026, this newly launched cohort is gaining widespread attention among aspiring founders and early-stage professionals looking to build technology-driven enterprises.
The orientation was formally inaugurated by Fr. Antony R. Uvari SJ, Director of XLRI Delhi-NCR, alongside Prof. Munish Thakur, Dean (Academics), Fr. Alwyn Rodrigues SJ, Dean (Admin & Finance), and Ms. Rachna Tiwary, COO of Entrepreneurship. Designed as an AICTE-approved two-year full-time course, the XLRI Delhi-NCR PGDM IEV blends core management curriculum with hands-on incubation, active investor interactions, and customized venture development tracks.

Prominent Industry Leaders Outline Vision for the Incoming Batch
The three-day induction ceremony brought together top industry figures who shared strategic insights on digital transformation, enterprise building, and artificial intelligence. Keynote addresses were delivered by Deep Kalra, Founder and Chairman of MakeMyTrip, and Ramkumar Thirumurty, Chief Revenue Officer at Pine Labs (SETU), both emphasizing the pivotal role of innovation in scaling modern businesses.
Speaking at the launch, Fr. Antony R. Uvari highlighted that entrepreneurship goes beyond profit margins to address broader societal challenges through purpose-driven action. In addition, session modules familiarized the batch with national innovation frameworks including Startup India, NITI Aayog initiatives, and Jagriti Yatra, enabling students to align their startup concepts with India’s macro-economic roadmap.
XCEED Incubation Platform and Practical Startup Ecosystem Support
A defining element of the XLRI Delhi-NCR PGDM IEV degree is its direct link to XCEED, XLRI’s dedicated startup incubator. Through this platform, students gain immediate access to co-working spaces, seed funding networks, subject-matter mentorship, and legal advisory services necessary to transform raw concepts into scalable commercial ventures.
The curriculum actively integrates:
-
Experiential Learning: Live consulting projects, pitch sessions, and sector-specific factory or enterprise visits.
-
Investor Mentorship: Direct feedback loops with venture capitalists, angel networks, and successful institutional alumni.
-
Sectoral Focus: Structured backing across emerging domains such as agritech, artificial intelligence, clean energy, edtech, and consumer brands.
Key Highlights and Curriculum Structure of the Program
Unlike traditional business degrees that prioritize placement preparation, the XLRI Delhi-NCR PGDM IEV is specifically structured around venture creation. During the two-year journey, participants spend their first year mastering core business fundamentals—such as financial modeling, design thinking, product-market fit, and go-to-market execution—before entering a dedicated “Venture Mode” in the second year.
This progressive setup ensures that candidates can launch live startups while simultaneously completing their postgraduate qualifications.
