The UPPSC PCS application window, originally set to close on 27 July 2026, has been extended by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. Candidates can now submit their online forms until 03 August 2026, giving aspirants extra days to complete the process before it shuts for good.
The notification for the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Examination 2026 was released on 25 June 2026, and the extension comes as a relief for those who missed the earlier cutoff. A separate correction window will stay open until 10 August 2026 for candidates who need to fix errors in category, domicile, gender, or date-of-birth fields already submitted.
Eligibility Criteria and Age Limit
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university; some posts call for specialised qualifications in Law, Commerce, Agriculture, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or Education. The age limit is 21 to 40 years as on 01 July 2026, with standard relaxation for reserved categories as per Uttar Pradesh Government rules. Under the 2026 notification, Research Scholars who have completed their tenure under the Chief Minister Fellowship Programme are also eligible for additional age relaxation and bonus marks in the Main Examination.

Candidates must apply online through uppsc.up.nic.in, following these steps:
- Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) if applying for the first time.
- Log in using the registered credentials.
- Fill out the application form with personal and educational details.
- Upload the required documents in the specified format and size.
- Pay the application fee: ₹125 for General/OBC/EWS candidates and ₹65 for SC/ST candidates for the Preliminary exam; Mains fees are charged separately at the relevant stage.
Applicants who have already submitted their form but spotted an error can use the Candidate Dashboard Login to make corrections until the revised deadline of 10 August 2026. Category, domicile, gender, and date-of-birth details will be treated as final once this window closes.
UPPSC PCS Selection Process and Exam Date
Selection follows the usual three-stage process — Preliminary examination, Mains, and Interview. The Prelims for this UPPSC PCS cycle is scheduled for 06 December 2026. Candidates are advised to keep their OTR details updated and avoid last-minute submissions, since the official portal typically sees heavy traffic in the final hours before a deadline.
