Data Science AI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has opened applications for the fourth batch of its Certificate Programme in Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence: From Fundamentals to Deployment. The eight-month online programme is offered through the institute’s Continuing Education Programme (CEP) and the Centre for Applied Research in Electronics. Interested candidates can apply until 13 November 2026.
IIT Delhi Data Science AI: Curriculum
The Data Science AI programme takes participants through the full pipeline, from foundational concepts to real-world deployment. It spans a nine-module curriculum, covering:
- Python programming and data manipulation
- Exploratory data analysis
- Machine learning and deep learning
- Reinforcement learning and natural language processing
- Machine learning operations and model deployment using Docker and cloud platforms
- Responsible AI practices
Participants will also apply their learning through practical projects and a capstone project addressing real-world business problems across domains such as human resources, customer relationship management, risk management and organisational transparency. This hands-on emphasis is meant to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and their application in live organisational settings.
Learning Format and Campus Immersion
The IIT Delhi certificate programme includes more than 300 hours of learning delivered through a mix of live and self-paced sessions. Live classes will follow the Direct-to-Device (D2D) format, supported by tutorials and collaborative sessions guided by IIT Delhi faculty and industry experts. Case studies and hands-on activities are built into each module to reinforce concepts.
As part of the experience, participants will get a one-day campus immersion at IIT Delhi, offering a chance to interact with faculty and peers in person.
Eligibility and Certification
The programme is open to graduates and diploma holders who have completed a 10+2+3 educational pathway from a recognised university. Preference will be given to candidates from computer science, information technology, electronics, electrical engineering and physics or related disciplines.
It is designed for a wide range of learners, including aspiring data scientists, AI practitioners, technology and analytics professionals, engineers, students and researchers. The course is also relevant for professionals in data-intensive sectors such as healthcare, banking, financial services, insurance, retail and manufacturing.
Participants who successfully complete the programme requirements will receive an e-Certificate issued by the Continuing Education Programme, IIT Delhi. Candidates can check detailed programme information and complete their application on the official IIT Delhi CEP website.
