The Assam CEE counselling registration process is currently underway, with the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam, inviting qualified candidates to register at dte-assambtech.samarth.edu.in. Candidates aiming for admission to B.Tech programmes in the state’s government engineering colleges must complete registration and choice filling by the last date of 17 July 2026.
Assam CEE counselling: Key Dates
The online registration window for Assam CEE counselling opened on 10 July 2026 and will remain active for eight days, closing on 17 July 2026. During this period, candidates must complete registration, document upload, and payment of the counselling fee. The choice filling window is scheduled from 17 to 18 July 2026 (tentative), immediately following the registration deadline. As per the tentative schedule, the Round 2 seat allotment is expected around 23 July 2026, with Round 3 likely to follow around 3 August 2026. The Round 1 seat allotment date has not yet been officially announced by DTE Assam.

How to Register for Assam CEE counselling
Candidates can complete the counselling registration by following these steps:
- Visit the official portal, dte-assambtech.samarth.edu.in.
- Log in using your Assam CEE 2026 application number and date of birth.
- Update personal, academic, and category details, if required.
- Upload scanned documents in the prescribed format and size.
- Submit your choice of colleges and courses in order of preference.
- Pay the counselling fee of Rs. 800 (non-refundable) through net banking, debit card, or credit card.
- Download and save the acknowledgement receipt for future reference.
Candidates should note that registering for counselling is mandatory, since an Assam CEE rank alone does not guarantee a seat. No registration requests will be accepted after the final deadline.
What Happens After Registration
Once the registration and choice filling windows close, DTE Assam will process the seat allotment based on candidates’ rank, category, preferences, and seat availability across participating institutes. Candidates who receive a seat will need to complete a seat acceptance fee payment, separate from the registration fee, to confirm their provisional allotment before proceeding to document verification and reporting at the allotted college.
