The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has released the MH CET Law 2026 CAP counselling schedule, giving candidates clarity on the upcoming alphabetical list and merit list dates for both the 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes. The Centralised Admission Process (CAP) is being conducted separately for the two courses, and candidates are advised to track their respective schedules closely.
MH CET Law 2026 CAP: 3-Year LLB Schedule
The 3-year LLB CAP registration, which began on 11 June 2026, was extended twice before finally closing on 13 July 2026. As per the released schedule, the Round 1 alphabetical list for 3-year LLB will be published on 17 July 2026. This list only confirms successful registration and document submission, and does not reflect a candidate’s merit position. Candidates will get a window from 17 to 19 July 2026 to verify their details and raise grievances or corrections, if any. Following this, the final Round 1 merit list for 3-year LLB is scheduled to be released on 24 July 2026.

MH CET Law 2026 CAP: 5-Year LLB Schedule
The 5-year LLB CAP registration began on 19 June 2026 and, based on the schedule released so far, closed on 9 July 2026. Some reports have indicated a further extension of the 5-year LLB registration window till 17 July 2026; candidates are strongly advised to confirm the exact registration closing date directly on the official portal, since this has not been consistently confirmed across sources. The alphabetical list and merit list dates for 5-year LLB are expected to be announced shortly, following the same pattern as the 3-year LLB course.
What Candidates Need to Do Next
Only candidates who appear in the final merit list will be eligible to proceed to the subsequent CAP stages, including choice filling and seat allotment. Here is a quick recap of the process ahead:
- Check your name and details in the Round 1 alphabetical list.
- Submit grievances or corrections, if required, within the given window.
- Wait for the final merit list to be published.
- Proceed to fill college and course preferences once eligible.
- Await seat allotment based on merit rank, category, and preferences.
Candidates should note that the LLB CAP registration fee is Rs. 200, applicable only in case of a category change from reserved to open; otherwise, there is no registration fee.
