CBSE NCERT Class 9 textbooks training: On 21 July 2026, educational updates confirm that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) successfully conducted a joint orientation workshop at the CBSE Integrated Office Complex in Dwarka, New Delhi.

The orientation focused entirely on CBSE NCERT Class 9 textbooks training for Mathematics and Science subjects, bringing together 110 selected educators—including 58 Mathematics teachers and 52 Science teachers—alongside official representatives from the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS). This collaborative initiative marks a vital step in preparing master trainers across affiliated schools following the recent launch of the revised 2026–27 academic curriculum.

The event serves as fresh, highly relevant news for school administrators, educators, and students navigating the new curriculum aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) 2023.

Core Focus on Pedagogy and Real-World Application

Led by senior NCERT experts—including Professor Anup Rajput, Professor K Vijayan, and Professor R K Parashar—the interactive training sessions detailed the underlying philosophy behind the newly titled textbooks, Ganita Manjari (Mathematics) and Exploration (Science). Subject specialists instructed educators on moving away from traditional rote memorization toward competency-based learning, enabling students to connect abstract classroom concepts directly to real-life situations.

Through hands-on problem-solving strategies and holistic assessment frameworks, teachers were trained to foster analytical thinking in secondary classrooms. The sessions emphasized experiential learning techniques to ensure that classroom instruction emphasizes understanding fundamental principles over simple procedural drills.

Deployment of Master Trainers Across CBSE Schools

The primary objective of this joint initiative is to empower participating teachers to act as regional Master Trainers. These trained educators will now conduct cascading orientation programs across their respective districts and school clusters to ensure uniform implementation of the revised Class 9 syllabus.

Participant Group Number of Representatives Primary Subject Area
Mathematics Educators 58 Teachers Ganita Manjari Pedagogy
Science Educators 52 Teachers Exploration Practical Modules
Institutional Delegates KVS & NVS Representatives Pan-India Institutional Rollout

By equipping key educators with direct insights from textbook creators, both boards aim to standardize teaching methodologies across private and government-run affiliated institutions nationwide.

Long-Term Impact on Secondary Education

This structured CBSE NCERT Class 9 textbooks training session highlights the ongoing efforts to modernize secondary education in India. As teachers adopt these holistic teaching methods, students are expected to experience a smoother transition into advanced concepts in senior secondary classes.

School authorities have been encouraged to organize internal workshops using the guidelines shared during the Dwarka complex session. Stakeholders can access further details regarding subject-wise syllabus structures and teaching aids directly on the official portals at cbse.gov.in and ncert.nic.in.
