GATE 2027 Eligibility Criteria
Based on the pattern followed in previous years, the expected eligibility criteria for GATE 2027 includes:
- Candidates currently in the 3rd year or higher of any undergraduate degree programme.
- Candidates who have already completed a qualifying degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or a related discipline.
- Students in integrated or dual-degree programmes at the appropriate year of study.
- Professional degree holders such as CA, CS, CMA, or Fellows of the Institute of Actuaries of India.
- No upper age limit and no restriction on the number of attempts.

Expected GATE 2027 Application Fees
Going by the GATE 2026 fee structure, the application fee for GATE 2027 is expected to remain largely unchanged:

- An additional late fee of around ₹500 applies for applications submitted after the regular deadline.
- Candidates opting for a second paper will need to pay the additional applicable fee.
