IPU BTech Round 2: What’s Happening
GGSIPU issued a revised schedule notice for the Round 2 process, covering BTech along with several other programmes including LE-BTech (Diploma Holders), BCA, BBA, and B.Com(H), among others. As per the university’s admission portal, the Round 2 process for BTech is being conducted based on JEE Main 2026 scores, since GGSIPU does not conduct a separate entrance exam for BTech admissions except for BTech Biotechnology. Candidates who wish to be considered for Round 2 seat allotment need to complete their registration, fee payment, and choice filling within the notified window.
Steps to Complete IPU BTech Round 2 Registration
Candidates can complete their registration by following these steps:
- Visit the official portal, ipu.admissions.nic.in.
- Log in using existing credentials, or register with JEE Main roll number, name, and date of birth for new applicants.
- Pay the applicable counselling registration fee through net banking, debit/credit card, or offline challan.
- Fill in personal, academic, and category details as required.
- Proceed to choice filling, selecting preferred colleges and branches in order of priority.
- Lock your choices before the deadline, since unlocked or unsaved lists may not be considered for allotment.
Candidates who already registered and paid fees in Round 1 do not need to pay again, while those who missed the Round 1 fee payment can still do so during this round.
Important Notes for Candidates
Candidates should note that no registrations will be accepted after the Round 2 deadline closes today, and any last-minute technical issues on the portal should be reported to the university’s helpdesk well before the closing time rather than at the last moment. It is also worth noting that GGSIPU had earlier extended the Round 2 schedule for several programmes, including BTech, so candidates are strongly advised to verify the exact closing time on the official portal before assuming the process has ended.
