The Joint Seat Allocation Authority has declared the Round 3 seat allotment for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs and government-funded technical institutes. Candidates who received a seat in this round must complete online reporting, pay the seat acceptance fee, and upload documents by July 8, 2026.
Officials said Computer Science remains the most contested branch even in Round 3, with closing ranks at top IITs showing little movement from Round 1. Students can choose to freeze their current seat, slide to a better branch at the same institute, or float for a stronger offer in the next round. Round 4 results are scheduled for July 10.

Candidates who miss the July 8 reporting deadline will lose their allotted seat and will not be considered for further rounds.
Quick Update: JoSAA Round 3 out. Fee payment last date July 8. Round 4 seat allotment July 10.
