The Central Board of Secondary Education has activated the online submission facility for schools to list Class 12 students appearing in this year’s supplementary examination. The window opened on June 30 and remains active, giving students who fell short in one or more subjects a fresh chance to clear them without repeating the full academic year.
CBSE has also opened a separate provision for private candidates seeking a third compartment attempt, a facility introduced in recent sessions to reduce dropout risk among borderline students. Schools have been instructed to verify student eligibility carefully before submitting names, as errors at this stage can delay a candidate’s participation in the supplementary exam.

Once results are declared, affected students are expected to move quickly into Class 11 stream admissions, many of which carry deadlines tied closely to board result timelines.
Quick Update: CBSE Class 12 supplementary submission window active since June 30. Third compartment attempt facility also open.
