More than 22 lakh medical aspirants are waiting for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination result, which the National Testing Agency has indicated will be declared on or before July 20, 2026. A senior official said the agency is working to fast-track evaluation so that the MBBS admission calendar for 2026-27 is not delayed further.
NTA is currently reviewing close to 10,000 objections raised against the provisional answer key released on June 25. The OMR response sheets for the re-examination held on June 21 are expected to be released within the next few days, giving candidates a chance to verify their recorded responses before the final key is prepared.

Once the result is out, the Medical Counselling Committee will announce the schedule for All India Quota seats, while states will separately release their own counselling timelines for remaining seats.
Quick Update: NEET UG 2026 result likely by July 20. OMR sheets expected soon. MCC counselling to follow after result.
