The TS EDCET Counselling 2026 Phase 1 process for this year’s B.Ed counselling has reached its final stage, with the result expected on the official portal. As of now, TGCHE has not confirmed that the link is active, so candidates should keep checking the site rather than assume the result has been declared.
Phase 1 Allotment: Where Things Stand
Candidates completed web option entry between August 7 and 10, ranking their preferred B.Ed colleges in order of choice. Based on media reports, the Phase 1 allotment was scheduled for around August 16, and Kakatiya University, which conducts counselling on behalf of TGCHE, typically releases the result in the evening after option-locking closes. Since the exact release time has not been officially notified, students are advised to treat any specific hour circulating online as indicative rather than confirmed.
How to Check the Allotment Result
Once the result link is activated, candidates can follow these steps:
- Visit the official counselling portal, edcetadm.tgche.ac.in.
- Click on the TS EDCET Counselling 2026 Phase 1 result link on the homepage.
- Log in using your hall ticket number, rank, and date of birth.
- View the allotted college, methodology, and category details on screen.
- Download and print the provisional allotment order for reporting purposes.
What to Do After Seat Allotment
Candidates allotted a seat must pay the required admission fee online to confirm acceptance, within the deadline notified alongside the result. This is followed by reporting to the allotted college with original certificates and photocopies for document verification. Seat allotment is based on the candidate’s rank, reservation category, local area status, and the web options submitted.
Candidates unwilling to accept the allotted college can wait for Phase 2 counselling, though doing so means their current seat may be forfeited if they do not confirm it in the meantime. Classes at the allotted colleges are expected to begin within a week or two of reporting, based on the pattern followed in previous counselling cycles.
Key Points for Candidates to Note
Only around 70% of B.Ed seats in participating colleges are filled through TS EDCET counselling, with the remaining 30% under management quota filled independently by colleges. Telangana’s 85% local area quota gives state residents a stronger chance at government and university colleges, particularly in Hyderabad and Warangal. College-wise cutoff ranks for this round will be published on the counselling portal once the allotment is finalised, giving candidates a reference point for future rounds.
